With over a decade of experience, Niall Tansey focuses his practice on litigation – in particular medical negligence, personal injuries* and commercial litigation disputes.
He has been involved in many high-profile medical misadventure cases and has represented injured patients and their families across the legal spectrum, including in the High Court and as principal advocate at Coroner’s Inquests. He has also lead on multiple high-value “bet-the-company” disputes in the Commercial Court, including Judicial Review proceedings.
Niall is also experienced in cross-border M&A and private equity transactions. He regularly advises clients on leveraged buy-outs, acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures as well as general corporate matters. He has extensive experience advising across a range of industries, with particular focus on the technology, pharmaceutical and real estate sectors.
Niall worked for over eight years with ‘magic circle’ law firm Clifford Chance in its London, Hong Kong and Tokyo offices. Prior to joining Damien Tansey Solicitors LLP, Niall worked as Legal Counsel at Uber in Hong Kong.
